Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities
The Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist is an individual with an extensive background in the either Cardiac CathLab or Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab. This individual will utilize his/her vast knowledge base to assist in highly critical and highly acute procedures within the realm of interventional cardiology. The Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist will not only perform high level cardiac angiographic procedures but has thepotential to also assist in a wide variety of cutting edge procedures such as TAVR Mitral Valve Clips Left Atrial Appendage Closure PFO/ASD Closure and a variety of cardiac ablations in the EP environment.
This is a highly stressful and intense work environment. Exposure to Xray and blood borne pathogens may occur during any of the above procedures. Long periods of standing are required with the use of lead aprons. Mastery of sterile technique is required.
Requirements
- Associates degree
- ACLS BLS ARRT & ODH license
