Bethany Medical an established Independent MultiSpecialty Practice located in Greensboro High Point Winston Salem Jamestown Kernersville North Wilkesboro and Mt. Airy is seeking a FullTime Echo/Vascular Technologistto join our Team! You will be working closely with our Providers and patients to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction.
The Selected FullTime Echocardiogram/Vascular Technologist will:
- Perform ultrasonic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the Provider.
- Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis.
- Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfied patient identification obtained before conducting said actions.
- Performs all procedures according to departmental protocol.
- Will need to work independently.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Dedicated to serving Bethany Medicals patients with a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Perform echocardiography vascular doppler and color flow on patients.
- Assist the physician in cardiac echo stress testing.
- Maintain the GE equipment necessary for all echo testing.
- Order supplies needed for his/her area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- A.S. degree in Echocardiography or a related field
- ARRT ARDMS and/or CCI Registration or registry available
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification is preferred.
- Current BLS required ACLS preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting performing ultrasounds is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse patient population.
- Professional aptitude presentation and demeanor.
