Founded in 1999 eTEC Mechanical is a fullservice mechanical contractor providing engineering installation and maintenance for HVAC plumbing piping and fire protection systems. We provide diverse mechanical services to meet our customers needs ranging from engineering and installing heating and cooling systems to maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial HVAC and fire protection systems. eTECs mission is to provide commercial and industrial HVAC plumbing piping and fire protection systems for customers who need a single source mechanical contractor. We are the only mechanical service provider in central Virginia able to efficiently provide professional inhouse engineering installation and maintenance for HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems to the commercial and industrial market.

Mechanical Contracting Summer Intern
Job Summary:
eTEC Mechanical is looking for a mechanical contracting summer intern to assist in Operations/Preconstruction activities along with assisting lead foreman in the trades of sheet metal plumbing and piping on commercial construction job sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain knowledge of multiple departments within the mechanical contracting industry including Operations Preconstruction and Service.
- Assist in the bid process of construction projects such as system takeoffs obtaining vendor and material pricing and scope reviewal meetings.
- Support project managers through the submittal and design process of mechanical and plumbing projects.
- Gain hands on experience within the three major mechanical contracting trades: Sheet metal Piping and Plumbing.
- Assist foreman on job sites by installing mechanical systems.
- Learn how to safely and properly use power tools required within the trades.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed or working towards a bachelors degree (Mechanical or Electrical engineering required)
- No experience required
- Career minded
- Physical activities include standing balancing climbing stairs and ladders walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required.
