Colony West Golf Club in Tamarac FL is excited to announce the exceptional opportunity of Line Cook! We are seeking experienced cooks who are looking to make food for a creative and elevated menu. As a Line Cook you will play a crucial role in the culinary operations of our kitchen.
Pay Range: $16.00 $20.00 / hour depending on level of experience.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preparation: Accurately and efficiently prepare a variety of food items including meats seafood poultry vegetables and other ingredients according to recipes portion control and quality standards.
- Cooking: Execute cooking methods such as grilling frying sauting baking and broiling with precision and consistency to ensure food is cooked to perfection and meets customer specifications.
- Assembly: Coordinate with other kitchen team members to assemble dishes in a timely manner ensuring presentation standards are met and maintaining the integrity of each dish.
- Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure food quality and presentation standards are consistently upheld and promptly address any discrepancies or issues.
- Sanitation: Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times to ensure a clean and organized work environment including proper storage of food items regular cleaning of equipment and adherence to health codes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with other kitchen staff and management regarding ingredient inventory dish preparation and any issues or concerns that may arise during service.
- Efficiency: Work efficiently under pressure in a fastpaced environment to meet highvolume demands while maintaining quality and consistency in food preparation.
Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule and willingness to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed including prep work dishwashing and cleaning duties.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role preferred.
- Knowledge of proper food handling sanitation and safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required.
