Description
RPO Recruitments Client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Electrical Foreman in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will drive and ensure the optimum availability reliability productivity and safety of plant and equipment from an electrical perspective through their team.
Responsibilities:
- Functional Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain engineering best practices to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company engineering policies procedures and technical standards.
- Provide technical support to optimize production and maintenance processes.
- Implementation of Engineering Practices:
- Apply engineering principles to enhance performance reliability and sustainability.
- Develop and execute engineering projects to improve safety efficiency and costeffectiveness.
- Ensure alignment with industry regulations and company standards.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel Word) at an intermediate level.
- Experience with JD Edwards or a relevant equivalent ERP system.
- Utilize Dynamic Production Monitoring System Active Factory Tool Achiever Isometrics and QlikView for data analysis and reporting.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve engineering and operational issues.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
- Utilize datadriven methodologies for troubleshooting and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and all relevant Codes of Practice (COPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to ISO Standards and Environmental Procedures.
- Ensure safe and compliant High Tension (HT) Switching practices.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Engineering Technical Trade Test in Electrical (MQA preferred)
- Engineering Certificate N3
- First Line Supervision / Supervisory certificate
- 4 years operational Mining / Maintenance environment experience
- 3 years Team / Project leader / Supervisory experience
