Job Summary
The Drafter 2 position requires 3 years of drafting experience and involves CAD drafting for boundary transmission line rightofway and land tie surveys. The role also includes writing metes and bounds or centerline descriptions for assigned projects. This position supports survey field crews and office personnel by conducting research coordinating with agencies and managing project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Documentation
- Perform CAD drafting for boundary surveys transmission line rightofway and land tie surveys.
- Write metes and bounds or centerline descriptions for specific projects.
- Transmit completed projects to appropriate teams and agencies.
Research & Coordination
- Research existing survey and real estate records to support drafting activities.
- Contact local and state agencies to gather rightofway information.
- Assist survey field crews and office personnel with data collection and documentation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 3 years of drafting experience.
- Associates degree in drafting preferred.
Skills & Expertise
- Proficiency in CAD drafting software.
- Knowledge of land surveys transmission rightofway and legal descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail and technical writing skills.
- Ability to research and interpret survey records and legal documents.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
