Electrical Engineer
Champlin MN Direct Hire $100k $130k
The Senior Electrical Engineer leads the design of electrical control systems for the companys products ensuring safe efficient operation while meeting company standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee design and development of LV/MV switchgear control systems ensuring compliance with codes and customer specs.
- Lead design efforts using AutoCAD Electrical and implement engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to customers and field service teams.
- Mentor engineering teams through training and documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and support new product development.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Provide onsite technical support (up to 10 travel).
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- 10 years designing electrical control systems for switchgear panelboards and control panels.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and electrical test equipment.
- Strong project management coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to design LV/MV equipment and support product assembly and testing.
- Experience in mechanical design tools (e.g. SolidWorks PDM) is a plus.
- Background in renewables data centers or battery systems is a plus.
