Job Description
The Thought Disorders Unit is designed to provide crisis stabilization for individuals with psychosis. Our teams goal is to move patients to a lessintensive level of care as soon as is safe to do so.
What to expect.
You will provide compassionate care conducting psychosocial assessments delivering individual and group therapy sessions and collaborating with treatment teams to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions using evidencebased modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Offering supportive counseling and monitoring progress towards treatment goals.
- Collaborating with treatment team members to communicate patient progress and contribute to treatment planning and aftercare planning processes.
- Participating in family meetings and collaborative care sessions as needed to support holistic patient care.
*LMSW candidates are expected to obtain their LCSWC license within 3 years of accepting this role. As a part of your benefits package Sheppard Pratt will provide a boardapproved supervisor to oversee your clinical supervision hours at no cost to you.
What we need from you.
- Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire:
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Certified Social Worker Clinical (LCSWC)
- Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to license and years and level of related experience. The pay range for this position is $60k $105k.
