Responsibilities
- Department Leadership
- Hires leads motivates evaluates and is responsible for development of Warehouse Leads and all employees through training on policy & procedures educating by assisting in problem resolution when required.
- Sets the example to drive high standards of performance quality and safety.
- Provides mentoring and guidance through performance management process including the establishment of goals and objectives conducting performance reviews pay recommendations development planning and succession planning.
- Solicit feedback and recommendations related to procedures performance quality safety scheduling labor distribution cost savings initiatives and other functional information.
- Identifies problems determines causes and recommends changes to the SVP of Supply Chain to produce zerocheck benchmark on accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Facility Leadership
- Works crossfunctionally with multiple departments for internal customer service inventory accuracy and warehouse planning.
- Develops and implements KPIs that monitor a variety of operational data including inventory losses efficiency goals and safety reports.
- Establishes and maintains operational procedures for activities such as verifying incoming shipments handling and disposition of product and warehouse inventory accuracy.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives with various departments including but not limited to: pallet exchange inventory product rotations and material flow efficiencies.
- Understands ERP/Warehouse software and how to utilize it within the scope of this position with the willingness and ability to learn how to best utilize this software.
- Periodically inspects all products for defects and damages. Inspects internal and external based trailers for any sign of defect or damage that would put contents being loaded at risk.
- Reviews aged inventory and makes recommendations on disposition.
- Rotates stock per FIFO method with goal of ensuring highest quality of raw materials/finished goods are used.
- Maintains a clean and organized warehouse and dock area to support a safe and efficient work environment.
- Maintains forklift certification records to remain in compliance with regulations.
