Finance Director LITTA (Venture backed The UKs On Demand Leading Waste Removal Business)
Role Overview
LITTA is the UKs leading on demand waste removal business combining smart technology with a national network of vetted carrier partners to deliver fast reliable and sustainable rubbish collection. Backed by venture capital and entering a phase of rapid growth we are now hiring a commerciallydriven Finance Director to lead the financial function and help scale the business across the UK.
This is a senior leadership role working directly with the CEO. You will own the financial strategy steer commercial decisionmaking and present regularly at board meetings. Youll work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and Product Managers to ensure financial performance growth and scalability are fully aligned across the business. This is a handson highimpact position suited to someone who wants to shape the future of a VCbacked techenabled business.
Strategic & BoardLevel Finance
You will work closely with the CEO on all strategic planning business modelling and investment decisions. Youll be responsible for executing the companys financial strategy including forecasting and scenario planning. As a key member of the senior leadership team you will lead financial reporting and planning for board meetings investor updates and funding rounds and play an active role in capital strategy and investor relations including due diligence preparation.
Driving Commercial Performance
On the commercial side youll partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to assess customer acquisition costs (CAC) lifetime value (LTV) and ROAS helping to align marketing spend with financial goals. At the same time youll support the Product team in the development of dynamic pricing models partner payment systems and scalable billing infrastructure. Youll lead on optimising unit economics evaluating partner margins and identifying costsaving opportunities across operations. Your financial insight will help shape commercial models that enable both supplyside and customerside growth.
Financial Operations & Controls
You will manage all financial planning budgeting and cashflow forecasting ensuring the business is positioned for sustainable scale. Youll deliver timely accurate monthly management accounts dashboards and reporting. A key part of the role will be building robust internal controls streamlining reporting processes and ensuring realtime visibility of financial performance. Youll also develop frameworks for tracking joblevel profitability margin by partner or region and cost breakdowns.
Governance Compliance & Risk
Youll oversee all governance and compliance requirements ensuring LITTA meets its statutory obligations across VAT tax and annual accounts. Youll take ownership of legal and commercial financial matters such as supplier contracts risk controls and insurance. Youll manage audit processes and work with external advisors to ensure the companys financials are investmentgrade and due diligence ready.
Supporting the Wider Business
Beyond finance you will support the CEO and wider leadership team in managing core business operations. This includes working alongside HR to help shape headcount planning compensation models and hiring budget frameworks. Youll oversee legal and commercial matters ensuring contractual consistency and risk management across departments. Youll also collaborate with the operations team to build scalable costeffective processes that balance strong customer delivery with financial efficiency.
Building the Finance Function
As the business scales youll build and lead a lean highperforming finance team. Youll be responsible for selecting and managing financial tools including Xero spreadsheets and performance dashboards. Youll champion financially sustainable decisionmaking across teams embedding finance into the fabric of daily operations and growth planning.
What Were Looking For
Were looking for someone with at least four years experience in senior finance roles ideally within a highgrowth venturebacked techenabled business model such as an aggregator or assetlight operation. You should be a qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent) with a strong background in budgeting commercial modelling and investor reporting. Experience working directly with founders boards and investors is important and youll need to be comfortable advising on highlevel commercial decisions while also rolling up your sleeves and managing the detail.
Youll bring strong commercial instincts excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. You should be calm under pressure handson in your working style and confident presenting to senior stakeholders. A solutionsfocused mindset processdriven thinking and a desire to build structure in a fastpaced environment will be key to your success.
