Security Officer Position Status: Full Time Classification: NonExempt SUMMARY
The Security Officer position is responsible for securing the assigned premises personnel members students and guests by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings equipment and access points.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Ensure the security safety and wellbeing of all personnel visitors and the premises
- Protect the ministrys assets relative to theft fire and other safety issues.
- Completes reports by recording observations information occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
- Remain in compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Follow procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention property patrol traffic control and accident investigations.
- Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance.
- Perform first aid or CPR.
- Provide excellent customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS - Must have or be able to obtain a valid Oklahoma ID or License per the state of Oklahoma.
- High school diploma or GED Bachelors in Police Science or related field preferred.
- One 1 year proven work experience as a Security Officer preferably.
- Valid Cleet Armed License is preferred;
- Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sound judgement
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexible hours for availability (including evenings and weekends).
- Positive customeroriented attitude and professional image.
