Job Description:Implement the schoolwide literacy program through coaching supporting and guiding teachers in best practices for literacy instructionSupport students through direct instruction and interventions and/or in consultation with classroom teachersManage the collection organization and sharing of student literacy data for the purpose of informing and improving instructionSupport schoolwide assessmentsOversee the monitoring of student progress for students receiving Title I reading intervention services for all intervention providersUtilize data and knowledge of scientificallybased literacy practices in decisionmakingServe as a resource for teachers as to how the classroom teacher can provide tier I reading intervention in the classroom Complete reading reports for parents detailing a childs strengths and areas of growth in each area of readingParticipate in parent conferences to provide instructional suggestions Perform other duties as assigned by PrincipalJob Expectations:To improve student reading and writing achievement through a comprehensive schoolwide literacy program Coaching teachers in reading writing phonics and phonemic awareness instruction
