Mechanical Drafter Needed
Company Overview:
Empirical Systems Aerospace Inc. (ESAero) is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area that provides various services which include but are not limited to rapid system development ondemand niche engineering handson development/testing and aerospace vehicle system development.
Job Summary:
ESAero is seeking a selfmotivated Mechanical Drafter to join our team in San Luis Obispo CA. The drafterwill assist the engineers in the creation and release of mechanical drawings in the multifunctional product development of new aircraft design while collaborating withproject personnel.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create and review engineering drawings
- Own toplevel assemblies
- Audit subassemblies to ensure top level performance does not suffer
- Create drawing trees
- Advise others on best practices for
- Modeling
- Drawings
- Reorganize/revise Technical Data Package to design as built for ERP implementation
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Working knowledge of CAD drafting practices/drawing preparation
- SolidWorks experience
- 57 years
- Assembly creation/organization
- Drawing tools
- Configuration control
- PDM/CAD Database experience
- SolidWorks PDM preferred
- Development experience preferred
- Understanding of metadata requirements and use cases
- 35 years
- Manufacturing environment
- 5 years
- No degree required
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

- ERP Experience
- NetSuite preferred
- Previous Experience
- Aerospace industry
- Fastpaced product design/development

- ASME Y14.5 knowledgeable
- Application of GD&T
