POSITION SUMMARYA Teacher creates a plan of instruction and a class environment that is favorable to learning and personal growth; establishes effective rapport with pupils; motivates pupils to develop skills positive attitudes and knowledge; and establishes good relationships with parents and other staff members.RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Director of Learning- Provide direct instruction for students.
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences and learning styles.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities and materials and equipment that reflect understanding of learning styles and needs of students assigned.
- Manage student behavior to achieve an effective learning environment and in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to determine instructional goals objectives and methods according to district requirements.
- Provide timely and appropriate plans for substitutes as necessary.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning through formal and informal testing.
- Persistent belief in the potential for all students to succeed academically with an assetbased mindset
- Ability to communicate respectfully and in a culturally proficient manner with parents/guardians about student progress and language acquisition
- Ability to analyze and utilize student data to develop and/or cocreate curriculum and instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
