Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install maintain and repair fire protection and life safety systems including fire alarms sprinklers emergency lighting and fire extinguishers.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NFPA OSHA local regulations).
  • Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve issues with fire alarm panels smoke detectors and other safety devices.
  • Document all inspections tests maintenance and repairs in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and educate building occupants on fire safety procedures.
  • Stay current with industry standards new technologies and regulatory changes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
  • Work independently and as part of a team demonstrating strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED required technical certification associate degree in fire protection technology. 

PREFFERED:

  • NICET certification preferred
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes OSHA regulations and local fire safety requirements
  • Experience with fire alarm panels and systems
