Job Summary

To provide semiskilled work assisting in the installation maintenance and remodeling repair and servicing of plumbing systems. Responsible for prompt performance of assigned plumbing and related duties. This entrylevel position develops skills to provide the opportunity to apply for a State Apprentice Endorsement within the first six months of employment and the long term possibility of acquiring skills that lead to becoming a licensed Journeyman Plumber.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Performs service calls and work orders submitted by departments within the University to include maintaining records and performs preventive maintenance. Accomplishes the following duties under supervision: performs preventative maintenance and assists journeyman plumbers with advanced plumbing repairs and projects. Surveys buildings and performs maintenance on equipment in a multitrade team working environment. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Perform all work in accordance with best safety practices. Other duties as assigned.
