Job Description
JOB TITLE: Substitute Teacher
REPORTS TO:Principal/Assistant Principal
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides learning experiences by following the lesson plans developed by the lead teacher.
- Manages the conduct and behavior in the classroom.
- Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the building principal/assistant principal.
WORKING CONDITIONS/EXPECTATIONS
Working in a school setting. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy indoor environment with work inside about 85 of the time and work outside about 15 of the work schedule. Ability to stand/sit and/or squat for extended periods of time. Perform other duties that may be assigned.
All new hiring will happen through the Human Resources office. Interviews will happen at 566 Main Street North Andover. Wehave instituted a new substitute system formanaged through the Frontline Absence Management System. Subs will be required to download an app to their phone for notifications of openings. Substitutes will be able to selfselect one or multiple schools in which to work and/or from which to get notifications. Go online to set up an appointment on the HR webpages.
