Job Description
Our clienta major S.C> corporation is increasing its Indirect (Sales) tax department due to explosive growth in business.
Some duties are:
- Reconciliations validate data and compile sales/use tax reports used in the return preparation process.
- Manage tax compliance assignments including tax returns tax provisions surplus calculations and clearance certificates.
- Utilize the OneSource and Vertex software to implement the sales/use tax compliance process.
- Research tax issues using CCH online reference guide and CTadvantage.
- Prepare sales/use tax compliance for assigned states timely and accurately; prepare copies of sales/use tax returns related to supporting documentation for scanning and maintain a folder with copies of checks and EFT payments.
- Oversee preparation of business license filing for all states and localities.
- Correspond with taxing jurisdictions regarding tax notices received.
- Develop and execute tax policy to ensure sales/use and property tax compliance.
