Job Description
We are looking for a Market Intelligence Manager(MIM) who is our ear to the ground in the technology sphere where we play everything from security visibility open source SW cloud compute edge and 5G (and pop a few more buzz words in there). This thought leader will need to cut through all the noise to get to recommendations on product lines acquisitions strategy.
- Convince us: the Market Intelligence Manager will use data and research to analyze existing and potential markets aligned to our solution area and make recommendations on what to do . The MIM will use data to build actionable intelligence pulling out opportunities for growth and uncovering potentially unmet customer needs/untapped markets. The MIM will be able to use data to tell a story both about past performance or future trends impacting the business.
- Evaluate the landscape: the MIM will also gather competitive intelligence in our solutions areas and tangential spaces
- Resourceful: the MIM uses both publicly available information and private research to determine market trends and the size of markets in which we compete. This research will impact the product portfolio and future strategic direction of the business
- Financially Savvy: performs market aligned WTP/pricing analysis competitive internal benchmark based.
- Collaborate with us: before and during the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to size markets (TAM SAM SOM) in which the new product will compete. Contribute to phasegate business cases.
- Share your work: the MIM should be ready to deliver industry and technology trendbased updates to sales highlighting strategic focus of business vs. Competitors. Contributes to internal marketing research publications.
- Strategize: expect annual business and market alignment reviews to inform strategic planning includes trend evaluation Mekko charts financial models and market growth models. Beyond that also expect multiyear and horizon strategic planning includes more complicated research analysis financial modelling & recommendations
- Pitch in: adhoc market and competitive analysis as needed always lives
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business Economics Statistics or equivalent.
- Some application and technical knowledge engineered products preferably related to networking security or network monitoring
- 610 years relevant experience in market and competitive research or management consulting experience
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel Power BI (or BI equivalent) and PowerPoint.
- Financial and market modelling experience NPI NPV ROI ARR and standard business KPI knowledge
- Ability to visualize data/information effectively Mekko Waterfall etc. charts
- Comfortable with large data sets data manipulation
