Job Description
Provide instruction that fulfills the requirements of the NC Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy and the North Carolina Community College System for Clinical Massage courses. Provide Instruction of AB Tech. Clinical Massage Curriculum in didactic skills clinic and supervision of diverse students.
Duties
1. Teach courses specific to the clinical massage program meeting or exceeding requirements/regulations of the North Carolina Community College System and North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy. 2. Model worldclass service in a handson educational environment that emphasizes whole body wellness. 3. Monitors inventory of supplies maintains safety and sanitation of the department completes and maintains student grade and attendance records. 4. Be aware of standards and be able to adjust to varying roles as an adjunct Clinical Massage Instructor. 5. Establish rapport with coordinator instructors clients peers and students.
Minimum Requirements
1. Graduation from a regionally accredited institution and two years documented exceptional work experience as licensed massage therapist; 2. Currently holds North Carolina State Board of Massage and Bodyworks license in good standing; 3. Experience teaching adults; 4. Experience in clinical massage subject matter; 5. Computer literacy particularly in Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree in field pertinent to massage therapy. 2. Community college teaching experience in therapeutic massage. 3. Five years documented exceptional work experience as a licensed massage therapist. 4. Education in teaching and learning principles for adult education including curriculum development implementation and evaluation.
