Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support reinsurance underwriters across Europe on all aspects of assessing rating and processing new and renewal business.
- Analyze reinsurance submissions from clients and accurately input relevant data into systems.
- Calculate and book premiums in underwriting systems issue policy documentation and manage processing of endorsements.
- Support risk evaluation and pricing through data analysis modeling and risk rating tools.
- Assist with maintain and building relationships with clients and brokers providing exceptional service and ensuring clear communication.
- Support to monitor market trends and developments to align underwriting strategies with emerging risks and opportunities.
- Assist with portfolio analysis and reporting to ensure alignment with organizational risk appetite and performance targets.
- Participate in internal training sessions to maintain uptodate knowledge of industry practices and regional regulations.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in the European or international reinsurance or insurance industry.
- Prior experience of 34 years in underwriting (preferably insurance or reinsurance) is strongly preferred though experience in claims or brokerage is also acceptable.
- Completion of relevant industry certifications (e.g. CPCU CII or equivalent) is advantageous.
Knowledge Skills & Competencies:
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or other European languages is a strong asset.
- Highly detailoriented organized and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and teamoriented mindset.
- Selfmotivated and proactive with a willingness to take initiative and learn from feedback.
- Familiarity with reinsurance principles regulatory environments and market dynamics in Europe is a strong plus.
- Comfortable working with technology including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Ambition to progress within the organization with a desire to take on increasingly complex underwriting responsibilities.
