The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for procuring annual restricted and deferred gifts to the College in accordance with the departments goals. The Assistant Director will build and foster relationships with alumni. Another main function of this role is to organize plan and implement the class reunions giving campaigns and reunion celebrations. This position will also coordinate the Phonathon program and the Senior Gift campaign.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the organization and planning of the class reunions giving campaigns and reunion celebrations including recruiting and training volunteers engaging them in the life of the college with specific emphasis on securing gifts and pledges primarily in the $1000$10000 range.
Coordinate the Annual Fund Phonathon Program including securing and managing student engagement officers drafting language and managing timelines. Support student employees in outreach and followup methods including telephone text and video messaging. Collect performance data and analyze make project modifications based on outcomes.
Manage theSeniorGiftCampaign including recruiting and securing committee members planning engaging and educational events about the Annual Fund developing marketing strategy and overseeing peertopeer solicitations.
Cultivate and solicit at least 125 alumni annually; create print and electronic solicitations targeting alumni; engage alumni through volunteer recruitment and chapter events in order to significantly increase alumni giving to the Annual Fund. Coordinate comprehensive communication and marketing strategy for alumni engagement philanthropic support and stewardship.
Serve on the One Day Challenge leadership teams for Athletic Arts and Annual Fund challenges.
Cultivate prospects solicit Annual Fund gifts and provide stewardship. Extensive travel at times to make facetoface visits. Occasional weekend and evening work required.
Help the Rhodes Annual Fund reach participation and dollar goals as well as the overall advancement of Rhodes development and alumni engagement efforts.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
13 years of development experience preferably at an educational institution or demonstrated knowledge of fundraising volunteer management and/or marketing.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities to solve problems and demonstrate leadership skills is required.
Must be a selfstarter with project management experience either volunteer or professional.
Ability to relate well to the public is a must.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
This position requires flexibility to travel and work weekends and evenings when necessary.
This position requires a valid drivers license a good driving record and must be insurable by the Colleges insurance carrier.
