Working within the mission vision values and personcentred philosophy of the Agency the Counsellor provides short term solutions focused counselling in an EAP model for children youth and families individuals and couples serving clients of all ages family configurations and income groups addressing a wide spectrum of concerns including separation and divorce relationship difficulties parenting concerns family conflict loss and grief ageing depression anxiety. - Minimum of three years related work experience providing counselling for individuals couples families and/or children or 2500 counselling hours
- Current registration with a regulatory body: RSW CCC or RCC
Knowledge Skills Abilities - Superior clinical skills including significant understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues and shortterm solutionfocused treatment approaches
- Exceptional case management skills including knowledge of community resources and ability to assist clients to effectively access utilize and benefit from those resources
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage professional clinical records with exacting detail
- Second language would be an asset but is not required
