Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a Data Entry Operator to join our team in St Paul MN. This position operates various data entry terminals and automated data systems to record and verify billing/accounts receivable information customer demographic data and laboratory data identification and results for computer processing. Resolves suspended and billing problems and manually process OEbatches. Follows standard sequences and coding in entering and/or keying in data in correcting editing and verifying all data entered into automated systems.
**Pay Range: $16.50 $17.50 per hour
Plus 2nd shift differential
All job offers will bebased on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience applicabledegrees/certificationsas well as internal equity and market data.(Remove for nonpay transparency states)
Work Schedule:2nd shift Tuesday Saturday 5pm130am

Job Responsibilities
- Input data from images requisitions and other sources into the computer from a variety of standard and/or complex coded or noncoded business and statistical source data using an alphanumeric and tenkey keyboard.
- Serve as a problemsolver by identifying errors routing errors to the appropriate areas and interpreting data to ensure the correct test codes or medications are entered correctly.
- Generates reports from various systems to be used for troubleshooting issues as well as determining volume of work to be completed.
- Images data into the appropriate image systems.
- Ensures test requisition forms are maintained and banker boxes are documented in accordance with retention criteria.
- Works closely with Clinical Filing on basic needs to perform outcomes of particular issues.
- Is crosstrained on incumbent tasks within the department and is scheduled on a rotating basis.
- Works closely with leadership on change processes and quality initiatives.
- Performs continuing education in Learning Path and Master Control.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a data entry position is preferred
- Strong data entry and typing skills
- Previous medical or production experience is a plus
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Experience working in a team environment
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office
- Able to pass a standardized color blind test
