Are you a jack of all trades eager to tackle complex challenging problems as part of a fun and innovative team Were seeking a skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in building and enhancing our collocated and cloudhosted infrastructure along with our customerfacing services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience managing enterpriseclass applications and infrastructure. Proficiency in VMware storage solutions (SAN NAS) Windows Server as well as solid expertise in network configuration and troubleshooting are essential for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing management & support for Market Leader physical virtual and cloud infrastructure
Define build and manage collocated and cloudhosted network server virtualization and storage infrastructure
Build operate and maintain backup and monitoring tools
Partner with DevOps and Engineering teams to advise on product requirements and participate in release cycles
Troubleshoot production issues and engage with Engineering teams to find efficient solutions
Will be required to be in the office 12 days a month
Required Skills:
Proactive selfstarter with the ability to drive projects through to completion
7 years of recent experience in infrastructure engineering
5 years of handson experience with Windows Server operating systems
5 years of experience with VMware vSphere in a production environment
3 years of experience managing SAN & NAS infrastructure (e.g. Nimble Qumulo)
3 years of experience managing server hardware infrastructure (e.g.Cisco UCS Dell HPE)
3 years of experience managing network infrastructure (switches routers firewalls load balancers)
3 years of experience managing public cloud infrastructure (AWS Azure etc.
Working knowledge of and previous experience working with .NET web applications
Proficient in one or more scripting languages (PowerShell Bash Perl Python etc.
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills with experience using related tools
Experience with Active Directory and associated technologies (Group Policy DNS LDAP Kerberos)
Familiarity with Linux distributions (Red Hat/CentOS/Alma preferred)
Desired Skills:
Experience with various monitoring packages (e.g. Zabbix Nagios NewRelic etc.
Experience working with infrastructure automation and DevOps tools (Puppet Ansible etc.
Familiarity with SQL including the ability to write simple queries for data retrieval and troubleshooting
