Job Description
Position Title: PartTime Custodian Daytime (Theater and Lobby Spaces)
Location: Pablo Center at the Confluence
Department: Custodial
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor
Position Summary:
The PartTime Custodial Person is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the two theater spaces and the lobby areas of the Pablo Center during daytime hours. This position ensures the theaters and lobby are clean safe and ready for upcoming events and daily use. The custodial person will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a professional and welcoming environment for guests staff and performers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Theater Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize theater seating aisles and stage areas ensuring all spaces are tidy and presentable for upcoming events and rehearsals.
- Vacuum and mop floors in the theaters and lobby ensuring hightraffic areas are spotless.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces such as light fixtures seating and railings to maintain a clean aesthetic.
- Lobby and Common Area Cleaning:
- Sweep mop and vacuum floors in the lobby ensuring the area is presentable and welcoming for patrons.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms ensuring they are wellstocked with necessary supplies and in top condition.
- Empty trash cans and waste ensuring the lobby and surrounding areas remain clean throughout the day.
- Restroom and Facility Supplies:
- Monitor and restock restroom supplies including soap paper towels and toilet paper as needed.
- Ensure that all publicfacing spaces are consistently clean and properly maintained.
- PostEvent and Daily Reset:
- After events clean and reset the theater spaces ensuring all areas are prepared for the next performance or activity.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager promptly.
- Special Projects:
- Assist with special cleaning tasks or setup requests as needed for events including moving furniture equipment or cleaning behindthescenes spaces.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing or window washing as directed.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Availability during weekday daytime hours.
- Professional and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff.
Working Conditions:
- This position is parttime with daytime hours typically Monday through Friday.
- The work environment involves hightraffic areas requiring multitasking and a high level of attention to detail.
