About the Role:
An exciting opportunityhas opened in the VU Careers Education and Employment teamdue to the incumbent being successful in a leadership role.
As a Careers Consultantin the Careers Education team you will be part of a highly experienced postgraduatequalified team of seven Careers Educatorscommitted to enhancing student employability. Your role will focus on designing and delivering bespoke career education curriculum including inperson teachingand the development of engaging digital resources.
You will also be part of the broader Careers Education and Employment team collaborating with Careers Hub specialists including Employability Consultants and Industry Engagement Officers to create meaningful career development opportunities for students by supporting their transition to graduate employment and enhancing their understanding of career pathways industry expectations and employability skills.
This is a fulltime continuing position at an HEP 7 classification salary range $97863 (per annum) $105932 (per annum) plus 17 superannuation working 36.75 1.0 FTE) hours per week. This role is being offered on a hybrid working arrangement.

You will need to have:
- Extensive knowledge of career development learning in higher education.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse student audiences.
- Proven experience in career counselling and coaching with the ability to guide students towards meaningful career pathways.
- An innovative approach to career education developing new and engaging strategies to support students employability.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team and build strong partnerships with academics and industry professionals.
