Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and plans marketing efforts for the technical college.
- Create messaging as needed for all forms of marketing communications including presentations marketing material newsletters articles and social media.
- Takes photos and writes news releases to be submitted to local media.
- Create compelling copy for brochures flyers annual reports ads and other promotional materials.
- Write and update website content for the technical college.
- Coordinates social media presence for the college.
- Collaborate with senior staff on developing speeches presentations and other materials as needed.
- Assist with media outreach.
- Proofread all marketing communications.
- Factcheck and ensure timeliness and accuracy of all content before publication.
- Assist with other Communications Department tasks and projects as needed; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of public relations theories and practices
- Knowledge of English grammar use research theories and practices
- Knowledge and understanding of a technical college education
- Knowledge of ADA compliance materials production
- Oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage projects
- Ability to present a variety of informational and promotional materials
- Ability to write for interaction purposes
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism English or other related field *and* Three 3 years experience in writing for marketing communications.
- Experience in marketing and communications within an educational institution or entity.
