An opportunity Built for you
As the Estimator you will produce estimates in a timely manner in line with Builts policies procedures and goals and in line with individual clients requirements in addition to identify and managing risks and opportunities in new projects through the application of the estimating process.
Heres what a typical day might look like for you:
- Looking at value engineering opportunities by evaluating the proposed outline processes construction management and alternative materials during estimate and/or postestimate. Reviewing alternatives and seeking subcontract market cover
- Reviewing assessing and checking documentation splitting into trades and preparing invitation to tender
- Preparing estimating programs to track and monitor progress. If necessary seeking additional resources to successfully complete the estimate
- Budget Estimates using relevant market rates from recent projects where applicable and obtaining subcontract input as required
- Lump Sum Tenders pricing trades which will be adjusted against sub contact trade coverage where possible.
- Design Construct Tenders pricing trades which will be adjusted against subcontractor trade coverage. Identify elements of the project not documented which are required for the project.

- Solid work experience in a similar role and industry
- Experience with Buildsoft / Cubit/ Costex software packages (ideal)
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications in Building Construction Engineering or Quantity Surveying
Your innovative mind creative eye for detail coupled with your ability to contribute to the team and build strong stakeholder relationships will hold you in good stead for the success of this role.
