Job Description
An Austinbased Medical Laboratory Processing Company is looking for an Accounting Supervisor. This company is fastpaced and has a challenging yet rewarding work environment. Most permanent employees have been there longer than 6 years! If youre an experienced accountant this could be a greatopportunity for you!
- Maintain the general ledger and post entries.
- Manage accounts payable including file maintenance invoice review and check processing.
- Prepare purchase orders invoices and process contract payments.
- Generate standard monthly financial reports and proformas for planning.
- Participate in the annual budget process and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Manage vendor relationships maintain vendor files and process refunds for overpayments.
- Oversee supply chain purchasing inventory management and distribution of equipment/supplies.
- Track cash deposits and report payables for use tax to the State Comptrollers office.
- Review uncashed checks and submit them annually to the State Comptrollers unclaimed property division.
- Complete and mail 1099s annually and assist Tax Accountant with tax return preparation.
- Supervise accounts payable processor and metrics analyst.
