Job Description
To prepare our students for the rigorous demands of an academic future STEP has adopted a holistic approach to learning by placing special emphasis on handson activities with reallife implications. The Saturday Learning Academy parallels and reinforces coursework found in the conventional academic setting. Students spend the academic year learning about computers math science and language arts going on field trips preparing for ACT / SAT and participating in specially designed workshops and programs. The Academy will meet on Saturdays between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm on the Syracuse University campus. Class sessions will range from 6075 minutes in length. Tutorial sessions will occur via Zoom during the week and the sessions will range 60 minutes in length.
Responsibilities
Design and implement handson math science and English activities for students lesson plans that parallel New York State Education Department Learning Standards. Posses classroom management skills. Develop and design innovative and creative activities that have reallife implications.
