The role
Ignites Europe a Financial Times service is an online subscriptionbased source of news businessintelligence and analysis for the asset management industry in Europe. We are looking for aReporter based in London to join the 10strong editorial team.
This is a unique opportunity to write independent impactful high quality journalism for a successfulnews service backed by the experience and resources of FT Specialist and work within a positiveand collaborative team environment.
This role is a 12 month fixed term parental cover position.
Key responsibilities
- Cover a beat and aim to research and write three to four original articles per week
- Produce news stories and exclusive content
- Generate original story ideas to be developed with the managing editor
- Build and cultivate an extensive network of sources with an emphasis on meetings and phoneinterviews
- Moderate webcasts and video interviews.
Required skills and experience
- Proven experience covering the asset management industry and/or financial markets inEurope with strong contacts with asset management companies
- Demonstrated success in developing original story ideas and source development
- Proven ability to meet daily deadlines and write accurately concisely and clearly
- A passion for news journalism
- Selfmotivated enthusiastic hardworking responsible organised and a team player.
