What youll be doing
The IT Senior Auditor is responsible for the of Internal Audits testing program for Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (Sarbanes Oxley SOX). The role will focus on Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) but may also contribute to business process control streams. The IT Senior Auditor will work with internal and external stakeholders to perform control testing to assess the design and operating effectiveness in support of the organizations ICFR/SOX opinion. The IT Senior Auditor will be reporting to the Audit Director under the direction of the Manager Audit.

How youll succeed
Audit Participate in the planning and reporting of IT General Controls (ITGC) and application controls testing for SarbanesOxley (SOX) compliance. Coordinate walkthroughs to understand IT processes systems and controls. Identify control deficiencies assess the severity of findings. Evaluate IT risks control design and operational effectiveness for key IT processes (e.g. access management change management backup and recovery). Review ITdependent controls in business processes to ensure alignment with SOX requirements.
Team Work Facilitation Work with external auditors IT management and other internal audit teams. Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure timely remediation of deficiencies and improvements in controls.
Project management Effectively manage multiple audit assignments at different stages of the audit cycle and complete required tasks on a timely basis. Communicate regularly with the team and manager to provide updates on progress.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in planning & executing audits. You have a comprehensive knowledge of auditing practices accounting standards regulatory industry knowledge within a large financial institution. A Bachelors Degree in Information Systems Accounting or related fields is required. 3 years in IT audit risk or compliance roles is necessary. It is an asset if you possess a professional designation (e.g. CISA CISSP. CPA).

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $90000 $120000 for the market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
