With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp nextgeneration devices to volume production quickly and costeffectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLAs largest engineering organization comprised of 9 CentersofExcellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation Precision Motion Control Sensors & Image Acquisition Platform Design and Packaging Engineering among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel China India and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs but also subject matter expertise best practices roadmaps specialized facilities apparatus models and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do but also in HOW we do it.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Central Engineering Group in Ann Arbor! The technician will work in a multifunctional team environment working on challenging problems in the vacuum technology domain across different product divisions within the corporation. The technicians role will entail the assembly and testing of critical components and platforms for the next generation of KLA tools!
In this role successful candidates will:
Outgas test new materials intended for use in ultrahigh (UH) or ultraclean (UC) vacuum systems for contamination characterization
Perform high precision cleaning of parts meant for sensitive areas of products with an emphasis on removing harmful molecular and particle contaminants
Perform quality checks on incoming components from manufacturers to ensure parts were manufactured to specification
Required Qualifications
Experience with 3D solid models preferably using ProE/Creo
Ability to interpret GD&T details on manufacturing drawings
Experience working in a laboratory and/or class 100 cleanroom environment
Ability to collaborate within a multidiscipline and multicultural global organization
Be flexible and adaptive to adjust project focus based on priority changes
Excellent writing skills and verbal communication
Ability to travel up to 25 as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 2 4 years of related experience
