Our client is seeking a young vibrant and savvy Marketing Assistant to join their dynamic team in Umhlanga.
Duties and responsibilities: Student Life Programs:
Plan organize and oversee student events from concept to ensuring student engagement and participation.
Develop creative and exciting event ideas that attract students and foster community spirit.
Work alongside allocated staff to provide guidance direction and support to students in need of counselling
Organize and coordinate enrichment activities that contribute to students personal and academic growth.
Social Media & Marketing:
Assist in creating editing and scheduling social media content across platforms boost posts and respond to inquiries/complaints promptly.
Work with the marketing team to roll out video content coordinate props and provide creative guidance for video shoots.
Support the sourcing and management of influencers to align with marketing goals oversee influencer relationships and collaborate on content creation.
Track and manage the distribution of branded merchandise ensuring accurate inventory management New orders/top ups etc
Manage WhatsApp and email communications ensuring prompt responses to student inquiries complaints and issues. Implement automated responses for streamlined communication.
Oversee the content on lobby TV screens updating video ads and adding AI voiceovers on notices. Regularly touch base with PMs to ensure important updates are displayed and working as intended.
Public Relations & Sponsorship:
Work alongside the marketing team to secure sponsorships for events marketing campaigns and studentrelated initiatives.
Assist with public relations activities promoting a positive image of Ole and its services across social media and other platforms.
Admin Support:
Provide general marketing and administrative support to the Marketing Manager including assisting with pending tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
Chase and follow up on unresolved marketing tasks/orders and report progress to YM every Monday for further intervention if needed
Oversee the marketing teams schedules leave and weekly checkins to discuss progress and challenges.
Updating and maintaining marketing calendars handling uniform orders for the team and coordinating rosters.
Keep an updated list of marketing equipment purchased for the team thus far (cameras prop etc. working closely with the team members.
Brief the marketing team on content requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials. Collaborate closely with Jenine and other team members to brainstorm and implement new ideas for improving student engagement and brand presence.
Performance & Feedback Monitoring:
Track the performance of marketing campaigns analyse results and provide insights to help inform future marketing strategies.
Monitor and respond promptly to negative feedback on platforms such as Hello Peter Google reviews and social media channels.
Conduct monthly observation sessions during monthend to identify and address any issues or loopholes.
General Duties:
Ensure the condition of marketing flyers notices & posters in and around the buildings is maintained replenishing them as necessary.
