12News the NBC affiliate in Phoenix Arizona is looking for an editor and digital producer to take our streaming product to the next level. Were serious and aggressive about streaming we launched three new streaming program in January and will be launching five more in March. After that The skys the limit but we know that our future is in streaming.
This position will produce and edit content throughout the week. Some work as a digital producer writing for our website and app will also be part of the duties.
Streaming content can be breaking news content that were livestreaming or it could be some of the shows and specials that we produce. Youll also be working to optimize our YouTube content and help cut and create social content. As a digital producer youll be responsible for writing breaking news stories and making sure that our website and social channels are enticing and informative for audiences.
What youll get out of it is a front seat to history and the chance to reach new audiences with great content. Youll have the tools that you need to make highquality programming. And youll learn a lot about streaming and programming in the process.
This is a news position so you need at least two years of experience in a commercial or nonprofit newsroom newsroom. You also need at least two years of video editing experience in a nonlinear editing program.
Requirements:
At least two years working in a commercial or non profit newsroom.
A bachelors degree in journalism or communications or the equivalent experience.
At least two years of editing on nonlinear editing programs.
The ability to pass a timed writing test.
