Level Descriptions:

Level I:Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate timely in the correct manner (i.e. verbal written email etc..

Level II:Consistently achieves all the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct daytoday supervision to level I positions. The individual if working for the Special Systems division has an ability to work on multiple Special Systems deliverables and has obtained midlevel NICET or other industry certifications.

Senior:Highly experienced in the position. Advanced awareness of the technical needs of controls system programming integrations to other systems and very sophisticated HVAC strategies if working in the control field. If working for the Special Systems division this individual has a deep understanding of the many systems installed and maintained within the division. The individual usually has a high level NICET or other certification and is active in the industry. Provides mentoring and direct supervision when required on projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct the inspecting testing and maintenance of fire suppression systems including but not limited to Fire Alarm Fire Sprinkler Fire Extinguisher and Kitchen Hood systems.
• Ensure the entire scope of the inspection is executed appropriately.
• Engage and communicate with the customer while onsite checking in and out ensuring the customer is taken care of and all questions have been addressed.
• Provide and upload accurate inspection reports to Building Reports within 24hours of an inspection being completed.
• Provide and upload picture(s) to Building Reports when finding a system or device that fails inspection or is in need of service.
• Complete a weekly closeout email detailing the inspections performed that week and any items that need immediate attention.
• Provide information and support to the inside sales position when applicable.
• Complete time sheets service work orders expense reports and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist Sales team during estimating phase including potential system demonstrations when applicable
• Must be able to obtain following certifications within the first year of employment NICET or CSA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience of testing and inspecting Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Systems.
• An understanding of computer operating systems including the MS Office Suite of products.
• Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions of others and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve successful outcomes and customer and employee satisfaction.
• Ability to successfully pass background check in accordance with customers requirements.
• Availability to work nights and some weekends as required.
• Ability to participate in an oncall rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Twoyear technical degree in related studies.
• At least 3 years of experience with testing and inspecting Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Systems; including Kitchen Hoods Backflows Clean Agent Systems PreAction Systems Fire Pumps and Fire Hydrants.
• Experience with Building Reports software.
• Experience with EST fire alarm panels.
• Experience installing and/or repairing Kitchen Hood systems.
• NICET CSA or other certifications in the Fire and Life Safety industry.

Essential Job Functions:

• Be able to lift and carry ladders fire extinguishers drawings personal computers material etc.
• Be able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Be able to spend significant time standing and walking.
• Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record which per Climatecs vehicle policy allows the individual to drive a company vehicle.
• Be physically able to kneel stoop and crawl.
