Job Description
Summary
Manage a team of analysts in the accurate and timely retrieval compilation and distribution of data reports and/or dashboards routinely used by internal departments and customers to make critical business decisions. Analysis may include medical costs and trending for senior management clinical measures limited underwriting and provider and operationsbased analytics.

Logistics: Palmetto GBA one of BlueCross BlueShields South Carolina subsidiary companies.
Location: This position is onsite at 17 Technology Circle Columbia SC 29229.
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Requirements: Certain divisions within BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina require CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) residency that requires employees to have lived in the US for at least three 3 out of the last five 5 years. This is a business requirement government contracts not an HR requirement.
What Youll Do:
Oversee the activities of analysts in the assigned area. Monitor the reporting process and maintain areaspecific data. Ensure reports are completed in a timely and correct manner.
Respond to inquiries from customers and internal areas often working with staff to handle requests.
Process complex analytic requests typically clinical in nature. Run and analyze reports and statistics as needed.
Coordinate with the information systems department to implement/troubleshoot data transfer to customers.
Participate in or lead various committees and work groups.
To Qualify for This Position Youll Need the Following:
Required Education:Bachelors degree in a jobrelated field
Required Work Experience: 5 years of progressively responsible healthcare data analysis and reporting experience.
Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office. Excellent knowledge of mainframe systems and database design.
Required Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication organizational and decisionmaking skills. Excellent presentation and analytical or critical thinking skills. Extensive knowledge of statistical concepts. Ability to use complex mathematical calculations. Proficient spelling grammar and punctuation.
We Prefer That You Have The Following:
Medicare experience is a plus
Program management experience
Project Management and operations experience
Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Tableau or Power BI).
Proven experience leading a team of analysts.
Ability to explain technical concepts to a nontechnical audience.
