Mechanical Development Engineer
About the Role:
Nextracker is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Development Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality reliability and performance of our products through rigorous testing and validation. This position offers the opportunity to design and execute test plans analyze data and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing methodologies.
What You Will Do:
Lead mechanical product design prototyping and validation of power electronics enclosures and support systems.
Support mechanical validation process
Design and fabricate custom test fixtures tooling and equipment to meet specific testing requirements.
Analyze test data and present findings to engineering and management teams.
Prepare and measure thermal validation prototypes
Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback on design for testability (DFT) and identify potential design improvements.
Support manufacturing partners in DFM and verification stages
Perform part and assembly level tolerance analysis.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Materials Science or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of hand on experience developing and validating mechanical components with a proven track record of product releases.
High proficiency with mechanical CAD system.
Handson experience with a variety of testing equipment and instrumentation (e.g. environmental chambers thermal validation vibration shakers).
Strong understanding of mechanical principles materials science and testing methodologies.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Experience with designing and fabricating test fixtures and tooling.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
Pay Range (Applicable to California)
$160000.00 $180000.00 dependent on level of experience
