We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at Providence Health Care. In this role you will assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical social spiritual and psychological needs of our patients and residents. You will work within a collaborative interdisciplinary team following established nursing frameworks and protocols. Your responsibilities include developing and revising individualized care plans providing patient education and making referrals to additional resources as needed. You will also play a key role in supporting colleagues by sharing knowledge and demonstrating procedures. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe respectful and caring environment aligned with our mission vision and values.
This education seat is for placement into the 0.92 FTE position at Squamish Community Dialysis Unit after successful completion of the BCIT Nephrology Program.

Skills and Abilities
Your Day to Day:
Reviews patient/resident status through chart reviews observations interviews and consultations with the health care team.
Assesses patient/resident needs prioritizes plans implements and evaluates nursing care using clinical judgment and evidencebased practices.
Provides care in line with policies procedures technology and PHC standards.
Monitors patient progress reassesses goals and adjusts care plans as needed.
Records observations reports changes and documents care in both manual and computerized systems.
Provides direct nursing interventions in crisis or lifethreatening situations.
Identifies patient/family learning needs offers educational materials and facilitates teaching sessions.
Provides guidance to Care Attendants and LPNs ensuring effective teamwork and task management.
Participates in nursing orientation inservice training and shares clinical knowledge with staff and students.
Engages in policy procedure and quality improvement initiatives.
Supports nursing research participates in projects to enhance practice.
Facilitates discharge planning and liaises with families/community resources.
Advocates for patients rights dignity privacy and autonomy.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
