Position Information: The Hostess/Dietary Aidevisit with inpatientsto discuss menus prepare and deliver meal trays and assist with dish washing procedures.
The Dietary Aide/Hostess reports to the Food Service Manager.
Hours: varied start times to 7:30 pm
What youll do:
- Visit with inpatientsto discussthe following days menusand their preferences.
- Prepare the evening meal trays.
- Assist with dish washing procedures.
- Plan and prepare production schedule and prepares the foods necessary to fill diet prescriptions during tray service.
- Wash dishes and trays.
- Complete required sanitation procedures.
- Deliver and pick up patient trays to and from patient care areas.
- Completes other duties as assigned. Includes working as Cafeteria Aide on weekends if necessary.
What you bring to the table:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service experience preferred

Typical Working Conditions: Welllighted wellventilated work area. Subject to burns cuts and falls. Exposed to hot and cold temperature changes. May be exposed to infection when handling contaminated dishes or silverware etc. Exposed to continuous noises put out by electrical food service equipment.
