Before & After School Youth Care Professional

As a Before & After School Care Development Professionalat the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (BGCTM) youll have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children while enjoying a fun and fulfilling schoolyear job. Youll work with kids on a variety of activities including art projects sports fitness and more helping them to develop new skills build confidence and make new friends.

Youll be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children planning and leading activities and serving as a positive role model and mentor.

- Part time employees are enrolled in Nivati a free mental health and wellbeing program.

- Plus part time employees are eligible for PTO.
- Pay starts at $14.50 an hour.
This is what your schedule could look like:
- This role is part time with flexible scheduling to accommodate personal life or class schedules. We always aim for consistent schedules for our staff.
- Shifts are Monday Friday:
- 7:00 AM 9:30 AM
- 2:00 PM 6:00 PM
- This position is open at The Club at Lovelock ES
Qualifications
We have great staff that can teach you skills on the job but there are some traits that will make you more successful as a Before & After School Youth Care Professional.
- You are a fun energetic and excited individual
- You want to pursue a career in education and childcare such as: HDFS CDA Education Counseling etc
- You have a passion for building a better community
- You have the ability to communicate and cooperate with children other staff and parents.
- Minimum of 17 years or older
As part of our commitment to child and member safety there are some additional steps that all hires will be asked to complete.
- You will need to provide 3 references. These references should be professional references if you have work experience. If you dont have work experience these references can be any nonfamily member over the age of 18 who can speak to your character and professionalism.
- You will also be asked to complete a drug screen for any illegal substances background check and fingerprint check.
