About our internship
The London Public & Government Affairs team is looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join our Internship Programme and work alongside our worldclass team. An internship with Edelman will provide you with an unforgettable experience in a fastpaced political and international environment; it will provide a comprehensive introduction to the work of the largest public relations consulting firm in the world and help you develop a core skill set to support you in your future career.
The role
At Edelman interns are an integral part of our teams and they play a key role in supporting our busy team of firstclass consultants with the implementation of strategic programmes that help our clients navigate the changing world. Throughout the programme you will have the opportunity to experience and get stuck into a broad range of tasks and projects across sectors such as energy food and beverage tech health and financial services.

Key responsibilities

    • Drafting briefing material for clients
    • Monitor political announcements and parliamentary activity
    • Support political engagement programmes including creating stakeholder maps outreaching to relevant offices and handling logistical arrangements
    • Develop biographical and policy briefings including conducting research to inform these documents
    • Support with event management including liaising with MPs offices coordinating with the parliamentary events team and thirdparty suppliers as well as handling the logistics
    • Build relationship with clients and colleagues at all levels
    • Supporting with adhoc research tasks including but not limited to new business opportunities policy briefings events and speaking slots
    • Assist in event planning
    • Working with junior team members to ensure accurate account administration

About you:

    • Organised selfstarter who likes trying new things and is open to new challenges
    • Team player who is always ready to lend a hand
    • Dynamic problem solver who tackles setbacks in a creative way
    • Interested in further developing their writing skills with a keen eye for detail
    • Exceptional attention to detail organisation and planning skills
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office Word PowerPoint Excel
