Hi Im Natalie Dusome Founder and CEO of Poppy & Peonies a fun and energetic brand that believes styles and function should coexist. Were passionate about creating practical pieces that help make life a little easier and lighten the load literally.
Building Poppy & Peonies has been a wild adventure. The journey began when my daughter Poppy was born and my accessories no longer worked with my new life as a mom I needed bags with pockets and organization that looked cool and had functionality. I couldnt find it so I decided to create it and in 2015 Poppy & Peonies was born.
Weve come a long way in five years from filling orders in my basement to appearing on Dragons Den and now expanding into new product categories and collaborating with some exciting influencers and brands. Id be lying if I said its been nothing but smooth sailing but thanks to our incredible community weve never felt more loved and supported!
We believe in our responsibility to care for our environment and we are passionate about preserving the health and welfare of our planet and the animals that live on it. All of our bags are made from highquality vegan leather and our entire product line is vegan crueltyfree and PETAapproved. We ship our products plasticfree and we use a combination of recycled compostable and biodegradable materials to mitigate shipping waste and we are constantly looking for new ways to make our products and supply chain more sustainable to reduce our carbon footprint.
About the Role
As our Social Marketing Specialist you own Poppys social success.
Reporting directly to the Sr. Marketing Manager you will be instrumental in scaling and enhancing our social presence across multiple platforms. Working closely with our marketing team you will have the opportunity to help strategize create and manage content that elevates our brands digital footprint.
We are seeking a social guru who will lead the charge in scaling and optimizing our social media presence across multiple platforms. With a keen eye for trends and a passion for content creation you will develop and execute strategies that drive engagement and foster community growth. You will be responsible for curating compelling content managing posts and launching new social channels all while ensuring that every piece of content aligns with our brands voice and values. Your work will play a key role in elevating Poppy & Peonies in the digital space and expanding our reach to new audiences.

The Opportunity
- Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to execute strategies that grow and scale our social media presence across all platforms.
- Finding and curating engaging content that aligns with our brands voice and goals. Monitor social trends and identify content opportunities.
- Creating mood boards style guides inspiration decks and detailed briefs to provide direction for creative content particularly focused on Instagram Reels and other social formats.
- Building strategies vision and brief that support content generation at photoshoots for influencer content for external creators and for internal team members.
- Leading the direction for all Instagram Reels and other social media video shoots ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and trends.
- Developing engaging content for a variety of social platforms from Instagram to YouTube to keep our audience engaged and growing.
- Managing the daytoday posting and scheduling of content across all social media platforms.
- Leading efforts to launch and manage new social channels (Pinterest Reddit YouTube Substack) to expand our digital presence.
- Developing weekly and monthly reporting and analysis on social performance and optimization.
What You Bring to the Table
- You have 4 years of experience in social marketing and content creation.
- You have proven experience in social media marketing and content creation with an emphasis on building growing and maintaining social channels.
- You have strong knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram Pinterest Reddit YouTube and Substack.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You are highly creative with an eye for visual content and the ability to translate ideas into engaging social media content.
- You have experience in creating and managing content calendars scheduling posts and ensuring consistent brand voice across platforms.
- You are proficient in social media analytics tools (Instagram Insights Google Analytics etc. to track performance and identify opportunities.
- Youre a collaborative team player who can brainstorm with others.
- Youre flexible and can adapt to changing priorities on the go.
- You are detailoriented with excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
- You have the ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Location
- This role is based in our Vancouver Canada office and requires inoffice presence five days a week. Additionally the position involves domestic and international travel for photoshoots events and team retreats.
Salary and Total Rewards
- Annual Salary ranges from $70000$80000 CAD
- 3 weeks of paid vacation per year
- 5 additional flex days
- Summer Fridays
- $1500 CAD annual health spending account
- $250 CAD annual period & menstrual budget
- $1000 CAD annualallowance towards Poppy & Peonies product
- $400 CAD home office setup allowance
$70000 $80000 a year
This salary is in Canadian currency.
