The Physician Assistant Essential Duties and Functions:
The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of the designated supervising staff physician including assisting physician in cases in the OR.
A few responsibilities of the Physician Assistant include but are not limited to:
- Order perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
- Consult directly with physician to assess the patients condition and treatment options
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Monitor patients and administers medications according to division policy.
The Physician Assistant Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant required.
- Unrestricted Pennsylvania License
- Graduate of accredited program for Physician Assistant required.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Exceptional customer facing verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively with a variety of external and internal constituents.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Athena or other EMR proficiency highly preferred
