CFE is seeking a dynamic and forwardthinking individual to join our team as the Manager for CFE Carbon. In this role youll be at the forefront of designing implementing and managing innovative programs aimed at reducing carbon emissions and driving sustainability initiatives within our organization.

Requirements

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Program Development: Design develop and implement carbon reduction and sustainability programs aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Program Implementation: Lead the CFE Carbon gotomarket strategy and develop capacity for long term strategic growth across all CFE Business Units.
  • Policy Compliance: Stay abreast of environmental regulations and standards related to carbon emissions carbon credits and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as executives departments and teams) and external partners (ethanol plants government agencies NGOs data verifiers and vendors) to drive carbon reduction initiatives and garner support.
  • Resource Management: Manage budgets resources and timelines effectively to execute and reconcile carbon reduction programs efficiently.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports presentations and other communication materials to update stakeholders on program progress achievements and challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization within existing programs and processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Safety and Compliance

  • Uphold cooperative policies.
  • Follow and comply with all laws and regulations both State and Federal.
  • Ensure managers establish and maintain department maintenance and safety policies that meet or exceed state and federal regulations.
  • Attending employee safety meetings etc. held as required or scheduled in conjunction with Safety Director or location

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in environmental science sustainability engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sustainability environmental management or related fields with a focus on carbon reduction initiatives. Experience in project management is often beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in carbon accounting methodologies emissions tracking software and data analysis tools. Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to interpret data identify trends and make datadriven decisions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including executives colleagues and external partners.

Additional Considerations

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industryspecific challenges and opportunities related to carbon emissions and sustainability (e.g. manufacturing transportation energy).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CCRM) or LEED Green Associate may be advantageous.
  • Networking: Active involvement in professional networks industry associations and sustainability forums to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends.
