Be our next Water Resources Intern!
Your work environment at EXP
In this role you will be a part of the Transportation and Site Civilteam of the U.S. Central Sector based in Chicago Illinoisoffice and have the opportunity to work on hydraulic/hydrologic analyses and designing appropriate drainage systems in close coordination with Roadway Site Civil and Structural Engineers.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Assist with onsite inspections and limited field assignments.
- Utilize CAD programs to assist in the preparation of plan drawings and details.
- Perform rudimentary calculations under the direction of a licensed engineer.
- Assist with preparation of technical specifications and reports.
- Perform material quantity takeoffs.
- Organize design calculations.
- Assist project teams in meeting deadlines as needed.
What your experience looks like
- Experience with computer aided drafting and Microsoft Office products
- Punctuality and maturity ability to work with minimal direction.
- Ability to work outdoors for limited field assignments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
The hourly range for this role is $2125. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates skill set experience certifications and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
