Job Description
The University of Tennessees Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Accounting Assistant with Audiology and Speech Pathology. Through temporary assignment placements Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates work schedules and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits annual leave or sick leave accrual.
Length of Assignment: Approximately a year
Work Schedule: MondayFriday 8AM5PM
Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour
Responsibilities
The growing department of Audiology and Speech Pathology is seeking a dedicated Accounting Assistant to support daytoday accounting duties including:
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Payroll
- Travel
- Ledgers
- Deposits
- UT Hearing and Speech Center patient account reconciliation
- Asset management.

Potential for transition to full time permanent position.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associates degree
- 1 year of experience
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of experience
- Experience in healthcare or with electronic medical records is a plus.
