Schedule: Direct Hire
Position Summary
The Psych RN is responsible for implementing directing communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients visitors and associates. The RN practices in accordance with current established standards of care the Nurse Practice Act the Powers Health policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Documents a physical assessment each shift including subjective/objective data.
- Communicates with patients families and/or significant others in an effort to individualize patients plan of care to them.
- Verifies that physicians orders are transcribed properly and carried out promptly.
- Reports significant changes in patients condition to unit manager/charge nurse/shift supervisor and/or physician.
- Continuously evaluates patients responses to plan of care teaching plans and rehabilitation activities throughout hospitalization and upon discharge.
- ASN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed as a RN by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
- Obtains and maintains current certification in BLS and other required certificates in specialty areas.
