Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. As a Welder you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and products using various welding techniques. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of welding principles be proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure the quality of the finished product. This position requires physical strength dexterity and a commitment to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using different techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) to join or repair metal components.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings blueprints and welding symbols to ensure accurate and precise fabrication.
- Set up and operate welding equipment including selecting proper welding tools gases and wire or electrode materials.
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure they meet required specifications before starting the welding process.
- Clean prepare and arrange metal surfaces to be welded removing any impurities or contaminants.
- Conduct welding tests to assess the quality of welds and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results.
- Maintain welding equipment by performing regular maintenance and repairs.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Monitor inventory of welding materials and report any shortages or needed supplies to the supervisor.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Preferred qualifications:
Candidate must have some or all the following Educational/Technical requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in Welding
- Proven experience as a Welder or similar role in metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Must be familiar with Machines and the use of tips nozzles and other machine issues.
- Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment effectively.
Preferred skills and abilities:
Candidate must have some or all the following skills and abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions including standing kneeling and bending for extended periods.
- Excellent handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to adhere to safety standards.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
